KLETC - Skype for Business

This is a modified workshop on Skype for Business for KLETC. The session will include the following:

 

First hour - Skype for Business phone service (emphasis on using the phone sets)

- What happens when you are enabled for Skype for Business phone service

- Setting up Skype PIN and signing in to the phone

- Using the phone sets

   - Setting up favorites, adding non-KU contacts

   - Calling/receiving calls

   - Hold, Park, Transferring calls, conference calls

   - 911 calling

- Voicemail

- Desktop version of Skype for Business

   - Purpose of using it (search, favorites, IM, meetings)

   - Instant Message (IM)

   - Availability & Location

   - History

   - Calendar

 

30 minute break

 

Second hour - Mastering online meetings with Skype for Business

- Creating, scheduling and holding online meetings with Skype for Business

Prerequisites

We highly recommend that you attend any prerequisite workshops listed below since familiarity with the skills and concepts taught in them is essential to benefit fully from subsequent workshops.

However, if you have independently learned the skills and concepts of the required workshop(s), your "equivalent skills" will be accepted as a substitute for attending the prerequisite workshop(s).
