Lecture Capture

The Lecture Capture service uses Echo360 appliances and software to enable faculty to schedule automatic recordings of lectures or presentations. Students can view those recordings and interact with others online regarding course material covered in the recordings. This gives students a powerful tool for lecture review, to supplement materials covered in class, or to receive instruction that is entirely web-based. Captured recordings can be viewed via a web browser, and/or can be downloaded to a computer or mobile device.

Lecture Capture also provides faculty with the ability to "flip" their classroom. In a “flipped” classroom students can view lectures online before class. This approach creates a classroom environment that encourages interactivity and collaboration. Students are able to use class time to ask questions and work through problems with the guidance of faculty and the support of their peers - creating a more collaborative learning environment.
