IT/CODL: Creating Media for Your Course

KU has a broad selection of faculty resources for video creation and delivery. But with so many available multimedia teaching tools, how do you know which one is best for what you want to do?

In this workshop, we’ll survey KU’s inventory of video teaching tools, including those for:
•    Recording classroom lectures
•    Desktop recording
•    Desktop conferencing
•    Facilitating presentations
•    Posting video and other multimedia content online
•    Capturing screen content

Software and services covered include VoiceThread, Lecture Capture, Streaming Media, Microsoft Desktop Conferencing, iTunes U, and more. We’ll take a look at the core features and strengths of each, and provide some examples and case studies that show how your peer faculty members are using these tools to engage students and create a dynamic learning environment.
